Process Hydrocarbon Analyzer (400A)
Emerson has designed the Model 400A Hydrocarbon Analyzer for high sensitivity, stability and safety. The Model 400A uses the flame ionization detection method in a field-proven design to provide reliable performance in analysis in high purity gases and trace levels of hydrocarbon contaminants in ambient air or other gases.

Process Thermo-FID (19") Hydrocarbon Analyzer (NGA 2000 TFID)
With the Thermo-FID (TFID), the NGA 2000 analyzer family now offers the ability to measure hydrocarbon. Measurement ranges extend from ppm to LEL with user selectable units (e.g. ppm, mg /Nm³ C, mg /Nm³ propane / methane and LEL). Depending on the measurement range, a mixture of helium and hydrogen may be used as fuel gas instead of pure hydrogen. An integrated thermal catalyst enables the use of ambient air for hydrocarbonfree burner air and zero gas production. The single channel FID offers up to 4 measurement ranges. The TFID is available as a stand-alone analyzer, as a “system control analyzer” with front panel display and keypad or as an analyzer module. All versions can be integrated into an NGA analyzer system. The AM is a blind analysis unit that measures concentrations and provides this data to the NGA 2000 network. An external heater and the associated PT 100 thermo element may be connected to and controlled by the analyzer. CENELEC approved flame arrestors are available as an option.

Process Total Hydrocarbon Analyzer Module - Heater THC (NGA 2000 HFID)
The NGA 2000 HFID Heated Hydrocarbon Analyzer Module uses Flame Ionization Detection (FID) technology to continuously measure total hydrocarbon concentration in sample gas at any user selectable temperature between 200°F and 400°F. The heated module eliminates typical measurement errors associated with the loss of hydrocarbon compounds due to condensation.

The NGA 2000 FID2 Hydrocarbon Analyzer Module is the industry’s first modular total hydrocarbon analyzer. It is a self contained unit, complete with detector and electronics. The Analyzer Module’s expandability allows for system integration. The FID2 Analyzer Module can be part of a sophisticated network or a “stand alone” analysis instrument when combined with the NGA Platform and Input/Output (I/O) Module.
