DPI 620 Series - Advanced Modular Calibration and HART® Communication System

The DPI 620 Series – Advanced Modular Calibration and HART Communication System uses three basic components to perform duties previously requiring a wide range of different instruments.

Its basic component is an ultra-compact, electrical, frequency and temperature calibrator and HART communicator, which provides simultaneous measurement and source capabilities with a full featured HART digital interface. Optional pressure measurement is provided by interchangeable pressure modules that can be attached to the calibrator by a pressure module carrier. In this fashion, the DPI 620 instrument can be used as a stand-alone calibrator without the other modular components.

If pressure generation is required, the calibrator and pressure module can be attached to one of three pressure generation stations, to form a fully integrated pressure calibrator of unparalleled performance.

The simple yet sophisticated design and concept combines, for the first time, an advanced electrical calibrator with state-of-the-art pressure measurement and generation, so that there is no longer any need to compromise one measurand capability in favor of the other.

There is an ATEX and IEC approved version, to include the four basic system components for use in hazardous areas. The approval now further includes the instrument’s battery pack, permitting hot swapping within hazardous locations.

The DPI 880 is an ultra-compact and simple to use tool for testing, configuring and calibrating virtually all process parameters. It is 35% smaller than competitive models and it’s windows-like menu driven display means fewer keys and a more simple, easier-to-understand interface. The DPI 880’s data logging capability means that users no longer need to carry additional recording tools.

The DPI 880 Multi-function Calibrator is virtually a calibration lab in the palm of your hand. The DPI 880 allows the user to obtain high precision data and address any issue in as much time as it takes to press a button, saving thus valuable operating time. For example, the DPI 880 can accurately test switches, trips and alarms and print the results in 5 minutes, while a traditional device would take up to 40 minutes and would require manual data entry. Thermocouple transmitter calibrations may take up to an hour using a conventional (older, more dated) tool that requires the use of look-up tables. The DPI 880 is capable of providing the ready to print results in just 5 minutes.

DPI 821 Thermocouple Calibrator measures or simulates sensors and is the ideal tool for checking probes, indicators and controllers. The Model DPI 822 provides simultaneous thermocouple output and mA measurement for transmitter/loop maintenance. The instrument also has a 24 VDC loop power supply to energize transmitter and control loops. An automated switch test captures open/closed trip values providing fast and highly accurate "safety system" checks.

DPI 820 Dual Input Thermometer

The DPI 820 Dual Input Thermometer offers two sensor inputs, T1 and T2, allowing individual measurement or simultaneous comparisons. It also offers interchangeable probes and wide thermocouple compatibility.

DPI 832 Electrical Loop Calibrator measures or sources mA, mV, V and captures switch trip values. It is the ideal instrument for process technicians to check and maintain transmitters, control loops, DCS, PLC input cards and signal conditioners. The instrument also has two independent 24 Vpower supplies to energize transmitter and control loops. An automated switch test captures open/closed trip values providing fast and highly accurate "safety system" checks.

Smart mA Loop Calibrator

The UPS-II can power (24 Vdc) and read 2-wire transmitters to perform field calibrations. Output currents are adjustable to a resolution of 10 microamps in both source and transmitter simulation modes.

 
Loop Calibrator - UPS III

The UPS III is a rugged and extremely compact Loop Calibrator. Measuring 3” x 5” and weighing just 9.7 ounces, it fits comfortably in a shirt pocket.

Portable Pressure Calibrator - DPI 603

The cost effective DPI 603, which extends the GE Druck range of rugged portable battery powered pressure calibrators, has standard ranges of -1 to +1 bar, 2 bar, 10 bar or 20 bar gauge with an accuracy of ±0.075%.

Designed for use in remote locations where a.c. power is not available, the DPI 603 enables pressure instrumentation to be serviced and calibrated.
High Precision Portable Pressure Calibrator - DPI 605

The DPI 605 precision pressure calibrator which combines GE Infrastructure Sensing's expertise in micromachined integrated strain gauge and vibrating silicon pressure sensors, microprocessor technology and ergonomic styling, has an accuracy of 0.025% of reading.

It is a portable battery powered instrument with an electrical measurement and supply capability providing simultaneous pressure and electrical displays, data storage and an RS 232 interface.

The technically advanced GE Druck DPI 610 and DPI 615 portable calibrators are the culmination of many years of field experience with the company’s DPI 600 series.

These self-contained, battery powered packages contain a pressure generator, fine pressure control, device energising (not IS version) and output measurement capabilities, as well as facilities for 4 to 20 mA loop testing and data storage. The rugged weatherproof design is styled such that the pressure pump can be operated and test leads connected without compromising the visibility of the large dual parameter display. The mA step and ramp outputs and a built-in continuity tester extend the capabilities to include the commissioning and maintenance of control loops.

Hand Pumps / Pressure Generators / Accessories
DPI 621/622/623 Pressure Stations

There are three pressure generation stations, also available in ATEX approved versions for stand- alone use in hazardous areas:
  • PV 621 - pneumatic pressure generator for pressures 95% vacuum to 20 bar (300 psi)
  • PV 622 - pneumatic pressure generator for pressures 95% vacuum to 100 bar (1500 psi)
  • PV 623 - hydraulic pressure generator for pressures up to 1000 bar (15000 psi).
Each pressure station is designed for stand-alone operation as a pressure generator and can replace conventional hand pumps and gas bottles to provide greater efficiency and ease of use. They can be used on the workbench or combined with a reference instrument, such as the DPI 104 they can be used as comparators and pressure calibrators.
Low Presssure Pneumatic Hand Pump/Pressure & Vacuum - PV210

The PV 210 low pressure pneumatic hand pump is fully portable, easy to use and generates pneumatic pressures in excess of 3000 mbar. It is an ideal tool for calibration checks on pressure transmitters, pressure switches, indicators, recorders and controllers.

The PV 210 can be used as a portable pressure comparator in conjunction with various pressure indicating devices. This precision unit includes a unique user adjustable pressure relief setting, enabling setting of maximum pressure.

 
Pneumatic Hand Pump/Pressure & Vacuum - PV211

The PV 211 Pneumatic Hand Pump is a lightweight, high quality combined pressure and vacuum hand pump. It has been designed to provide maximum pneumatic pressures efficiently and effortlessly.

The PV 211 can be used as a portable Pressure Comparator in conjunction with various pressure indicating devices. This precision unit includes an adjustable over pressure protection system as standard.

 
Hydraulic High Pressure Hand Pump - PV212

The PV 212 hydraulic hand pump is lightweight, easy to use and generates pressure up to 1000 bar. It is an ideal tool for calibrating pressure transmitters, pressure transducers, pressure switches and pressure gauges.

The PV 212 can be used as a portable pressure comparator in conjunction with various pressure indicating devices. It offers adjustable overpressure protection, fine control and a unique priming/high pressure selector switch.
Multi-function Pressure Generator/Hand Pump - PV 411

The PV411A is a high quality field proven pressure and vacuum hand pump providing functionality never before seen in a hand held pressure source.

This product replaces four conventional hand pumps and offers the following additional features that can be found in the datasheet.
IDT 600-1 / IDT 600-2 Dirt Moisture Trap

The IDT 600 is an effective barrier for protecting Druck portable pressure calibrators against the ingress of dirt and moisture which may be present in the gaseous pressure media or pneumatic devices under test. Installed directly onto the standard calibrator pressure port, regular use of the IDT 600 will prevent contamination of the calibrator pneumatic system, improving it’s long term reliability and reducing maintenance costs.

In addition it prevents cross contamination of the devices under test. The IDT600-2 has no diaphragm or other internal components which could create a pressure drop and does not affect calibration accuracy.

The unit is simple to dismantle and easy to clean. It should be periodically cleaned to prevent excessive contamination buildup which may overflow into the calibrator. The top and bottom sections are simply unscrewed, releasing the transparent chamber which is then wiped clean

The DPI 150 is an accurate yet economical digital pressure indicator, available in various pressure ranges and provides an accuracy to 0.01% Full Scale over 18°C to 28°C. Can be integrated into PC or data acquisition systems via RS-232 (standard) or IEEE-488 (optional) interfaces.
