VALVES
Z-Max Butterfly Valve

The Z-Max toughened Zirconia Ceramic Liner outlasts conventional materials by several times in the most severe abrasive and corrosive services. The Z-Max solid Zirconia Ceramic Disc ensures reliable, consistent control and maximum wear resistance. The valve shaft is totally protected by the unique ZMax Zirconia Ceramic Sleeve system.

3-Way Multi-Port Ceramic-lined Ball Valves

Ceresist's line of 3-way multi-port ceramic-lined ball valves have been developed to offer end-users a dependable and robust valve with an extremely long-term maintenance-free service life. Our alumina lining is 8 times more wear resistant than carbon and stainless steel, whereas our high purity sintered silicon carbide is 16 times more wear resistant.
FITTINGS

Elbows

APPLICATIONS: In any bend subject to wear by abrasive fluids.

Ceresist’s line of ceramic-lined elbows is designed to withstand the most abrasive fluids. Ceramics that have a very low wear factor at low impingement angles are selected to ensure the longest life possible.

Consider the installation of a Ceresist ceramic-lined elbow in any application in which an abrasive fluid wears through standard pipe in six months or less, or where maintenance is difficult.

Reducers

APPLICATIONS: In any piping system when reducing line sizes in which an abrasive fluid is conveyed.

Ceresist’s ceramic-lined concentric and eccentric reducers perform extremely well in areas where pipe size transitions must be installed. The most common locations for ceramic lined reducers are upstream and downstream of valves and pumps that disrupt laminar flow and consequently cause rapid pipe wear.

The wall thickness of our reducers is 0.50” minimum, which in itself provides an extremely durable fitting that outlasts any metal fitting.

Flange Adapters

APPLICATIONS: When transitioning from lined pipe (basalt, glass, rubber, etc) to flow elements (valves, meters, pumps), or in any piping system when reducing line sizes or installing equipment of different sizes, and the available flange-to-flange distance must be minimized or is smaller than standard reducer dimensions.

Cast or spray-lined pipe is rarely smooth and concentric to the pipe wall. If the I.D. of such lined piping does not match that of a flow element, the media will cause severe and premature wear. A cost-effective, ceramic-lined adapter plate may be installed to prevent such wear, and save thousands in component repairs.

Flange adapters also offer a very economical means of installing varying line-size components in piping. Bolt patterns are drilled in either side of the flange adapter, and the ceramic wall thickness is custom matched for each application.

Another important benefit of flange adapters is their low cost. Since the length of the flange adapter is usually small, the wall thickness of the ceramic lining may also be quite large without significantly increasing the cost of the adapter.

Straight Spools

APPLICATIONS: Downstream of control elements.

The most common application for straight ceramic-lined pipe spools is immediately downstream of a control valve. The pictures below show a ball valve at 20% and 30% open. It is immediately apparent that the media does not exit the valve perpendicular to the piping. Even when the valve is open more than 50%, there will still be fluid impinging upon the inside wall of the pipe.

Custom

If your particular application requires a custom fitting, Ceresist is able to provide it. Simply send us your drawing or sketch, and we’ll take it from there. Our machine and grinding shop will be able to manufacture precisely the fitting you need.If your particular application requires a custom fitting, Ceresist is able to provide it. ORIFACE PLATES

Restriction Orifice Plates

The OP Series ceramic restriction orifice plates feature a solid ceramic insert enclosed in durable stainless steel housing. Since ceramic is the only wetted component in the process, ceramic orifice plates are:

ABRASION AND WEAR RESISTANT: 99.5% alumina ceramic is more than 7 times harder than stainless steel, whereas Hexoloy silicon carbide is 16.5 times harder than stainless. This allows the use of these ceramic orifice plate materials in erosive services that would otherwise diminish the useful service life of conventional pressure-reducing devices.

CORROSION RESISTANT: Aalumina and silicon carbide are inert to almost all organic and inorganic chemicals used in manufacturing processes.

UNAFFECTED BY CAVITATION: Ceramic orifice plates may also be used in high differential pressure and high velocity services without suffering the damaging effects of cavitation.

Additionally, they are ideal for reducing the pressure, velocity and cavitation that would otherwise damage more expensive, harder to replace valves and critical flow elements.
